Review: Very impressive fan .. - This is a superbly engineered fan with all the features you could wish for and it looks pretty stylish too. It is powerful and versatile with 12 speeds, both vertical and horizontal oscillation (which can be used in combination), it has a local remote control and can also be controlled remotely via WiFi/internet connection and Alexa if you want. Above all it is very, very quiet and therefore perfect for a bedroom. At speeds 1 to 3 it is almost inaudible and it isn't until around speed 6 that you can start to hear it. A few things I've noticed that may be helpful .. The Meaco app is actually a re-skinned version of the SmartLife app which I already use to manage a few other devices so I've added the Meaco fan in that app instead - so I now have multiple smart devices all in one place. The full range of control settings for this fan are available in SmartLife as they are encoded to the Tuya chip inside the fan. And TBH the SmartLife app is more robust and more widely supported. I've noticed that if you switch off mains power whilst it's running it continues to run on battery power but at a lower speed. This is a design feature so it can achieve an impressive 40 hours runtime on battery power. I would say that speed 12 running on battery is about the same as speed 9 running on mains. Also worth noting that if it's on Standby it will only remain WiFi connected if it has mains power. I'd say this fan is designed as a mains powered device but has the added flexibility for use on battery power when you need it. I actually have had two of these fans arrive this week. I originally ordered one from desertcart on 23 June, then noticed a few hours later that had I ordered direct from Meaco I'd have received a free storage bag worth £21.99. Same price and same DPD delivery by either route. So I cancelled the desertcart order and re-ordered from Meaco's website. But the cancellation was apparently too late - so I now have two and I'm not sending either one back! I've seen others complain about late deliveries from Meaco but given we are in the middle of a heat wave I received both fans (desertcart ordered and Meaco ordered) within 48 hours of order placement. I had looked at lashing out for a Dyson bladeless fan but I am very pleased with the Meaco product. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for - and it is massively cheaper than the equivalent Dyson and probably cools a whole room more effectively too.
Review: Amazing fan, worlds apart from others. - I don't know how anyone is surviving this heatwave without one of these fans. It is invaluable, especially at temperatures around 30. Any higher and the cooling sensation feels less effective but it's still so soothing and is really helping me survive a summer in the south of England. I have previously used the 1056 which is also amazing but the Sefte 10" feels like a step up. I was reluctant to opt for this model as it's not quite as aesthetically pleasing, but it is more powerful and has more oscillation options than its predecessor. I've had it on constantly over the last two days and not yet needed to use it on full power. It is an incredibly impressive fan, in a totally different league to anything I've used before.

**Q: Are 350 and 650 size good enough ? I mean in terms of performance for a medium size bedroom**
A: I’ve got the 650 and it’s brilliant. I only have it on 1 or 2 in the bedroom. I think the 350 might be a bit small

**Q: Anyone got any ideas how to get inside this fan to clean it ... mine's full of dust and fluff, and I just want to clean it down before I put it away?**
A: If you look at the back of the fan at the top there are two small screws. Remove them and keep them safe to one side. Then with a small screw driver you can push down gently at the four small clip arms that hold the front to the back. These clips are evenly spaced around the joint. Once released the two fall apart easily. Now you can access all the parts to clean them. Then just need to do the reverse operation to assemble it back together and replace back the small screws you removed earlier.

**Q: Is this safe for toddler fingers?**
A: Yes I would think so. The blade cover spaces are very small and the blade is far back so I don’t see a toddler being able to damage them self

**Q: how much warranty do you get with the meaco fan 1056?**
A: If you bought it in the UK, under the Consumer Rights Act (2015), you are entitled to goods of satisfactory quality. One aspect of this is durability and it is not a fixed definition. If you had bought a bargain basement fan for £30 you expect a certain level of quality, but we are talking about a £150 fan at full price. You could argue that if the fan were to break outside of the 2-year warranty that because this is a premium product, the expectation of quality (and thus duration) is a premium level also. Were you to find yourself in this situation, you are entitled to a refund from the seller (the Act concerns the seller, not the maker) within 30 days, but a more reasonable request might be a replacement. Similarly, were you to mention "The Consumer Rights Act 2015" in correspondence with the seller, you may find things happen more quickly. If that doesn't succeed, then a quick email to your MP usually gets things sorted within an hour or two.

I genuinely couldn’t be more impressed with this fan. From the moment I switched it on, I could tell it was in a different league. It’s incredibly quiet, even on higher settings, yet produces such a powerful, smooth airflow that cools the whole room in minutes. The build quality feels premium, the design is sleek and modern, and I love how compact it is without compromising on performance. The remote control, timer and multiple speed settings make it effortless to use, and the oscillation distributes air beautifully throughout the room.
