Review: As good as you'll get from a fan - Well it was expensive. But they are virtually unobtainable in a hot summer and so I think I paid well over the odds from desertcart via a fulfilment supplier. BUT, it is very good and was worth it. Quiet, powerful and infinitely adjustable. The only better alternative would be a portable air conditioner; probably not justifiable - a lot more to go wrong. But we'll keep the issue under review...

Good design, with magnetic remote that sticks to the front and useful features including the height changes by removing each part of the stem. Only slight downside is that it’s not great at pointing any lower than direct 90 degrees, so angling down (say onto pet beds etc) is difficult. Otherwise, exactly what you need in the heat!

**Q: Are 350 and 650 size good enough ? I mean in terms of performance for a medium size bedroom**
A: I’ve got the 650 and it’s brilliant. I only have it on 1 or 2 in the bedroom. I think the 350 might be a bit small

**Q: Anyone got any ideas how to get inside this fan to clean it ... mine's full of dust and fluff, and I just want to clean it down before I put it away?**
A: If you look at the back of the fan at the top there are two small screws. Remove them and keep them safe to one side. Then with a small screw driver you can push down gently at the four small clip arms that hold the front to the back. These clips are evenly spaced around the joint. Once released the two fall apart easily. Now you can access all the parts to clean them. Then just need to do the reverse operation to assemble it back together and replace back the small screws you removed earlier.

**Q: Is this safe for toddler fingers?**
A: Yes I would think so. The blade cover spaces are very small and the blade is far back so I don’t see a toddler being able to damage them self

**Q: how much warranty do you get with the meaco fan 1056?**
A: If you bought it in the UK, under the Consumer Rights Act (2015), you are entitled to goods of satisfactory quality. One aspect of this is durability and it is not a fixed definition. If you had bought a bargain basement fan for £30 you expect a certain level of quality, but we are talking about a £150 fan at full price. You could argue that if the fan were to break outside of the 2-year warranty that because this is a premium product, the expectation of quality (and thus duration) is a premium level also. Were you to find yourself in this situation, you are entitled to a refund from the seller (the Act concerns the seller, not the maker) within 30 days, but a more reasonable request might be a replacement. Similarly, were you to mention "The Consumer Rights Act 2015" in correspondence with the seller, you may find things happen more quickly. If that doesn't succeed, then a quick email to your MP usually gets things sorted within an hour or two.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent machine

This is a high quality machine with a large number of settings for the fan speed and sweeps both vertical and horizontal. I do not like AC but this fan makes the use of AC uneccessary. It also has a variable height pillar meaning that you can get the effect of the fan where you need it either for standing, siting in a chair or lying on a bed. It also has a remote for managing all these controls which contains an on-off switch. Finally at slow speeds it is almost inaudible.
