They look big and wide on your feet But on a warm summers day, I did 20+ miles with these on the first wear. They were really comfortable, I didnt have any blisters and I didnt think of them as being heavy at all. I didnt think about them at all whilst wearing them A few days later, I did a four mile wander after a rain storm, through wet grass and ferns, and my feet stayed dry The best recommendation I can give, is that these are now my new favourite hiking shoe. I seriously doubt I will need to look at other brands, as these have all the features I need like grip, comfort, waterproofness whilst not making my feet too hot, their appearance isn’t too bad (they are unmistakeably hiking footwear though), and appear to be very durable

**Q: Hii questipn for long time owners, seen  reviews where people have complained about durability, especially material on side of shoe, isolated cases?**
A: My first pair was well over a year old worn 6 days a week for work on a farm with my garmin watch averaging around 7000 steps a day. thats when I bought my second pair that are now several months old and going well . would I buy another pair? definitely.

**Q: Are they truly leather inside?**
A: The KEEN Targhee doesn't have leather in the inside of the shoe. The leather is part of the upper/outside material around the shoe.

**Q: Do you do a size 9 wide? It doesn’t show in the drop down box**
A: Hi, yes it is a wide fitting. I've had mine now for over a yesr5. They are extremely comfortable and waterproof.  Sadly the sole is beginning to come apart. The back part of the sole is coming away from the grey part of the sole. I'm very disappointed because they are lovely shoes. I intend to contact Keen about it.

A: wide model. i didnt realise there was a normal model. I paid £67 for them but they just dont last. Having to glue my soles again

So far so good, walked about 30 miles, no blisters, no water in yet, but the weather has not been too bad. The fit is as expected. The grip is much less slippy on ice and mud then my previous shoes. The toe box is nice and wide, they are not as warm as some other waterproof shoes which is nice, not too sweaty. The bit that I am concerned about is the top eye hole is just a piece of webbing and I wonder if this will be strong enough over time I would have preferred a metal eyelet or lace hook.
