    Okay for the Money

*by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2017*

This is an okay pressure washer. I like that it has a Honda engine and it's very easy to start. My complaints about it are that when you read the directions they specifically tell you to check the air filter to see if it was contaminated with oil. Apparently this is a fairly common problem, so you would think that they would figure out to package the air filter in a separate bag with the other parts. Seems like a no brainer to me. Anyway, I checked the air filter and, sure enough, it was soaked with oil. They are very clear that you should not run the engine with an oil soaked air filter, so that meant that I could not use the power washer until I obtained another one. It's not an expensive part. It cost about $8, but it meant that I had to wait for another one to arrive. I'm sure the manufacturer would have replaced it for free, but I did not want to waste the time. I ordered one from Amazon with one day shipping. I have since learned that they sell them at Lowes. Additionally, the high pressure hose is rather short. 25 feet sounds like a lot, but when you are using the power washer it does not reach very far. I'm planning on ordering a 50 foot hose. The one that is supplied is 1/4 inch diameter, so to use a 50 foot one I am going to get one that is 3/8 inch diameter to handle the extra length. I think it would have been worth an extra $30 or $40 to get a longer hose with the unit. Sadly, that was not an option. This problem is compounded by the fact that you cannot use a garden hose longer than 50 feet to feed the unit. So you better have lots of water spigots available around your home. These folks cut costs wherever possible. Instead of supplying the five standard nozzle tips that are available, they only supply three. How much would it cost them to give you all five? The engine started right up with two pulls, but it ran rough. I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with that. It did the job, but it just did not seem like it was running right. It would run fast and then slow again. The results were okay, but I have now learned that 2800 PSI is okay for light to moderate cleaning, but it really does not do the job for serious dirt. For example, if you let your driveway go for a couple of years, this probably will not get it clean unless you use the red nozzle tip and that will take forever because the stream is so narrow. My recommendation is to have everything professionally power washed and then be sure to do it yourself at least every year and more often is recommended. That way you can use the green nozzle tip and go much faster. The alternative is to buy a unit that puts out 3500 to 4000 PSI, which will cost a lot more money. You need to keep your expectations of this unit realistic. You get what you pay for and this is a bottom of the line unit in terms of cost. It's okay for the homeowner that wants to power wash the driveway once a year or do the house siding once a year, but it's not going to get into really ground in grime. On the positive side, the unit was very easy to assemble and, again, it starts right up.

    Dead On Arrival.

*by R***B on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2016*

To start I am very familiar with small engines, and have repaired many over my lifetime. I am not by any means someone that doesn't understand how things are supposed to work. When the box arrived I opened it up to put it together and it was covered in oil. I went and looked at other reviews as saw that someone else had the same experience and sent it back. I figured since they received it covered in oil Maybe its just a shipping thing to stop rust or something of that nature. So I put it together, filled the oil reservoir to the recommended level. Filled it with gas and followed the instructions just to be safe (I know what I'm doing but I'm not going to void a warranty). I turned on the gas and the run switch, turned on the water, gave it full choke as expressed in the instructions and gave it a tug... Nothing. another tug... Nothing. Several more tugs with out a sputter. I checked the spark plug wire it was tight, Opened the air box and fuel dumped out. That's strange so I turned off the gas and let it site for 15 minutes to take care of the flooded engine. Came back to it and the fuel had dried up so I turned the gas back on only to watch it dump out the air box. Mind you I was on a flat surface. Seems that the float is stuck in the carb or something of that nature.I called the manufacturer to see if they have any issues with these out of the box that they may have a quick easy answer to. I left a message on Tuesday night at 6 PM, Then again on Wednesday afternoon at 3 PM, again Thursday at 4:30 pm and have still on Monday the following week not received a response. I decided on Saturday rather that work on my brand new 300 dollar purchase to get it going I would just return it and try another product.I have to say Amazon's customer service is outstanding, I didn't even have to talk to anyone. From my phone I looked at my order and requested a return, They sent UPS to my house the next business day to pick it up. I haven't received my refund yet but I have no doubt as soon as they receive the item they will issue it.I hope this review helps you decide to purchase a different item, don't waste your time on this one.
