I have to say I’m pretty good at it. I have been reading professionally for 17 years. I’m always studying tarot. So I know a good book when I see it. This is very good!! Actually gives you an answer as to what the card actually means and you can use that in your day to day life. It just makes sense. If you’re new or you have been reading tarot for a life time this is a must have book in your collection! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Phenomenal *by R***X on September 3, 2020* I knew of the Tarot Lady. Heard of her here and there--I mean how could I not? She is a celebrity in the community. I followed her on IG and I enjoyed her daily IG Lives. She mentioned her upcoming book, so I thought, what the hell, why not try?To be honest, I've been skeptical of the implications of reading intuitively. I felt like it was an excuse not to learn the traditions and historical meanings. I thought it rips tarot out of its esoteric/occult historical context in favor of a Do-It-Yourself mentality. I have been proven wrong, and I'm so grateful that I was incorrect.Reed smatters all misconceptions about intuitive reading. Rather than poo-pooing on tradition, she conceives it as a starting point and foundation to our own interactions with the cards. I realized I've been incorporating intuition in my readings all along. I confused improvisational reading with intuitive reading.The book sprinkles "tarotcises" to hone your intuitive skills. In the first part of the book, the exercises focus on developing a personal relationship with the cards. In the past, I've studied each card, focusing on its imagery, symbolism, and visual cues. The exercises took it to a whole different level. Just like the cards in our readings, each card is mutable, multifaceted, and contains unique energetic imprints. Even if you are more seasoned, I would still work through each card. I haven't completed going through all of them. I complete the prompts and tarotcises daily: one in the morning, and one in the night. It has enriched my practice.In the second part of the book, she includes case studies and demonstrates intuition in action. I love it!In short, this is a must read, no matter your proficiency.
