Not so strong that you have to exert your hand to move them around, but will hold a fair amount of hair. Every time I am in her store, she always has the best products and items for styling. Maybe a month ago she was using these clips to hold my hair while she was sectioning it out. They are big enough and heavy duty enough to keep wet thick hair held in place and not slip. I asked her where she got them and of course she said Amazon I took a picture of one came home and immediately searched them out. For the price, these are definitely worth putting in your styling collection , they are colorful durable and do exactly what you want them to do with wet or dry hair. The colors are pretty and you get 6 In the set. I have thick hair. Are used to use different kinds of clips or barrettes to section my hair while drying, but they would usually slide out or the hair would come loose of them. These clips do not pull your hair out, and can easily be moved while trying or styling. They do not pinch or pull out hair when using. They are easy to use with one hand. I am easily able to section my hair with one hand while holding a hairbrush or hairdryer with the other. They are great for just pinning your hair back when you need it out of your face or you don’t want it hanging down. I find myself using them often even for the simplest of daily Tasks. I use one or two to pull my hair back while brushing my teeth. Take them out and clip them to my shirt. When I am cooking, they are the perfect accessory to keep my hair out of my face and out-of-the-way.They do not hurt, Pull Or pinch at your scalp. They are so comfortable to use that I have forgotten. I am wearing them and have actually gone to bed isn’t until I roll over and feel that I Remember, I forgot to take them out and put them back in the drawer.The quality is amazing and they are so sturdy.
