Review: Good covert pads for street skating - I'm 41 and can't afford to destroy myself skateboarding anymore/ I also don't want to wear big park style kneepads when I'm out skating street. I have had a few flatground stacks wearing these under jeans and they are great for preventing injury. Falls still hurt but I'm back on my board pretty much immediately for falls that would otherwise take me out for a day or two at least. I wouldn't rely on them for skating transition or rails etc., but they are perfect for small stuff and flatground.

**Q: Can these do down hill skating?**
A: Hi!
The Pro Rugged with the armortex is a good option, as it is tested against repeat contact with concrete. I would expect to see some wear and tear as there isn’t a plastic component to the pad. But if you are looking for something light, comfortable and protective... it is a great choice. You just might need to compromise a little on durability and longevity of the pad though, as it does not have a hard outer shell.

**Q: Can you wash knee pads in the washing machine or hand wash?**
A: You can wash the Pro Rugged knee pad in a washing machine.  You just need to AIR DRY and not put it in the dryer.

**Q: Do these have the vents like the Pro X2 model?**
A: Yes... there is ventilated mesh backing to keep you cool and dry. Thanks!

**Q: So if your thighs are a large but calves are a medium which do you go with?.**
A: Large, most of the "holding" on to the leg is at the top
