It stains everything and it is very hard to remove. **Q: What is the consistency like?** A: The consistency of the americolor gel is thicker than water but slightly thinner than chocolate syrup. The older it gets, the more watery it gets. I use it & like it. **Q: Can the pink dye be used to color sugar cookie dough? Will it change the consistency of the dough?** A: Yes it can, it does not take very much at all. It did not change mine at all. Make sure that you chill your dough well and remember that the longer it sits the brighter the color becomes. It is high quality professional food color. They have every color you can think of. Worth the price in my opinion. With the soft pink I recommend starting with very little (a pin drop) until you reached desired color of pink.
