My 5-star review is based on the unscented one only. The lavender and vanilla one is very strong-smelling, it doesn't smell bad imo, but it's so strong i only use it for emergencies, it works on not-washed kinda smelly armpits. I never just use a garden pea-sized amount either, i always use 1 to 2 plump marrowfat pea-sized amounts. Sometimes it's grainy, sometimes it's smooth, when it's grainy i sit the jar in hot water for 20mins or so, make sure the water stays hot. I've used loads of different deodorants before and this one is the best, i don't understand the bad reviews. I mean i don't know what people expect, this is not an anti-perspirant it's a deodorant, it's not meant to stop sweat, it's meant to stop smell, and it does work that way, we're adults and always need to use more than a garden pea-sized amount as well. One thing that's unique about this deodorant is it doesn't make your armpits sticky after you work-out wearing it, most others do.
