Review: Excellent food! - This is a great diet. My diabetic dog has been on only their food for 4 years, she’s perfectly controlled. She loves it, has no issues at all. Fabulous for cancer patients too, as it’s low carb, no sugar, ketogenic.

**Q: how many cups are in a 22 lb. bag?**
A: 1 cup of chicken recipe weighs 4 oz by my scale
22# X 16 oz = 352 oz divide that by 4 oz = 88 cups

**Q: Would this be good for dogs that are prone to pancreatitis.**
A: I would say no, or proceed with caution because excessive fat can set off pancreatitis in animals and humans.  I would lean towards raw and enzymes, enzymes!!!

"KetoPet Sanctuary has made some interesting discoveries about dogs fed unadulterated (raw) fat versus dogs eating cooked (processed) fat. It seems raw fat (even very high fat) diets don’t cause pancreatitis in sanctuary patients, but cooked fat does induce pancreatitis in some patients, even when fed in small amounts.
So the question I think we should be asking is, “Are the highly processed, poor-quality fats (heated repeatedly, up to four times during the manufacturing process) used to create pet food contributing to the epidemic of chronic, low-grade pancreatitis occurring worldwide in pets?” I’m certainly suspicious.
In addition, processed pet food is devoid of the natural enzymes that help reduce pancreatic stress, which is why I suspect the pancreas of many pets exists in a state of chronic, low-grade inflammation. Food that doesn’t contain natural enzymes triggers the pancreas to try to make up the difference. If it fails to perform adequately, pancreatitis results. In addition, many pets are fed high-fat diets, which we know are a cause of pancreatitis."

**Q: Do I have to transistion my dog to this food?**
A: I did with my two dogs, especially my GSD who can be a finicky eater, try adding the Keto 1/4 cup at a time until you have transitioned 100%. Having lost two dogs to cancer, I am very aware of their food products, and have been very happy with the Visionary Pet Low Carb Kibble

### ⭐ Crumbs and Broken Pieces Smells Awful

This is my first time purchase of this Visionary keto dog food. My dog's veterinarian recommended this food for her weight loss. The food I received smells awful and has an uneven color. The food has a large amount of crumbs, powder and broken pieces. Other than that, the remaining medallions are not full size pieces and crumble very easily. I purchase a lot of similar pet food on Amazon that look and smell fresh, but in my opinion, this Visionary food is spoiled. Can't say if my dog likes it since I will not feed her this bag of food. This pet food is non-returnable, but seller offered a one-time courtesy replacement. It should not be a one-time courtesy replacement since the food is defective. Very expensive food with no guarantee.
