Treat it just like any other appliance. **Q: Is the large burner 900 or 1000 watts?** A: One burner is 600 & the larger is 900 **Q: Does the bottom of this hot plate get hot?** A: It does a little, will not get hot enough to hurt a countertop. I put piece of aluminum foil under it to just keep counter clean. **Q: The one side of the burner broke after 3 months. ,if i sent in the one that broke and get a new one ?** A: no sure what you are asking. if one of the burners is not working, I would contact the seller to see if they will replace the entire unit.
