I've done a lot of research on Nedfoss knives and I can't find any info about them** A: You know where ... China. Ned Foss knives is based in UK. Just because they are made in China doesn't mean they aren't decent knives, especially at the price point. They are decent quality. **Q: Will the leather sheath rust the knife?** A: First of all, I coat the inside and outside of my leather sheaths with Neetsfoot oil (which preserves the integrity of the leather and the knife). Sometimes it requires taking a rag soaked with the oil, and shoving with a flat, rounded edged stick to get enough down inside to my satisfaction. That being said, this is a VERY good quality stainless knife, and I love the design, so a light coat of oil will go a long way to protect a good investment. I try to collect only the best, and make a habit of checking my collection (24 so far) once a week for rust and sharpness of edge retention. **Q: What type of grid does the blade have? From the photos it looks like a hollow grind.** A: Our Kukri is sabre grind, which is either a flat or hollow grind where the primary bevel (the grind) does not cover the entire width of the blade, leaving some portion unground. If someone says “sabre hollow ground” you know the blade has a hollow grind that starts partway down the blade. The transition line between the primary bevel and the unground portion of the blade is referred to as the Sabre Line. Sheath is pretty nice as well. Favorite knife and I have a ton of bush craft knives. I love my Cold Steel knives and would say this steel is equivalent to the AUS 10A or 8A. But I love this shape better. If a knife can't compete with Cold Steel I won't Use it or Buy it.
