Meguiar's D181 Detailer Leather Cleaner & Conditioner - 1 Gallon

What a wonderful product for the winter time! I’m lucky enough to have a garage to park in, but my car always gets dirty in the winter from the road salt and dirt that is prevalent. This product is great for light to medium soiled cars to keep clean and looking sharp.Using a pump sprayer and distilled water to dilute the product to the 4:1 recommended ratio, I’ve been able to have the cleanest car around all winter. You will use quite a few cloths in order to keep it clean and not mar the paint with dirt, but it’s a lot nicer than trying to use water in the freezing temps outdoors! I find that using this product I don’t have to worry about going to a self car wash and adding scratches and swirls to the paint with their brushes. This product allows me to maintain my car’s appearance throughout the season. It would work great for a quick touch up between washes all year. The added wax really helps water bead and adds a bit of shine to the paint. What a great find!

I have used this product for years and it works great. If you want to avoid scratches and swirl marks on your car, this product and the Meguiar recommended application process will make that happen for you.

this stuff is amazing! easy to use, it is diluted so that gallon will go along way. i have used it on my camper and silverado, and it will make the water run off. it is simple to use, spray on , wait a few, and wipe off. no buffing needed. i would suggest a pressure pump sprayer to make it easy to apply. i have used this at my camp site just to keep m,y camper clean and shiny!

I purchased this Meguiars D115 product after reading some other forums which compared it to the brand's Ultimate Wash and Wax. This product is different in color, smell and protection. The Ultimate consumer product is clear, smells sweeter and is slicker, however, it provides me with the wash and wax qualities I need and costs much less per ounce after diluting. I use the product routinely in between normal hand washes, which sometimes includes daily touch-ups on my BMW i8. The car gets so much attention, I feel bad if it's not looking it's best. I also use it to remove any water spots after a hand wash. I pre-mix 1 part D115 and and 4 parts distilled water. I got two cheap spray bottles, one for home and another to keep in the car. Combined with the cheap waterless wash towels I got at Walmart, I'm saving a lot of money and keeping my car exceptionally clean. I've used it for things other than paint (glass, interior plastic panels, powder coated wheels) and it gave great results. I expect to go through one gallon a year at the rate I use it.

This is great stuff but I would rather just have the wash due to the fact I take the time to properly detail. Seriously wish someone would of mentioned to me when buying this understand how all there product works in steps before you buy this. You will want the normal wash without wax.

In terms of cleaning, I don't think you can get much better performance from any waterless wash. It may be on par or better than Ultima, but I can't tell, because they're both such good products when it comes to cleaning.In terms of looks, it definitely has its own unique effect on the paint that is very specific to D115. I'd put it on the warm / carnauba end of the spectrum, but it looks especially good on medium hues (light metallic blue, for example). I prefer the "wetter" look of Ultima Waterless Wash on my black car, and on lighter metallics such as silver, etc.I really wanted to give this five stars, but some aspects of D115 prevent me from doing so.The smell is overpowering. It's not bad, but it's rather strange and sickeningly-sweet to the point that I get a headache when using this stuff. I actually prefer the smell of the retail version (Ultimate Wash + Wax Anywhere), but that product's fragrance is also too strong. And I love the smell of most detail products - that's one of my favorite aspects of detailing. But both iterations of this product have way too much fragrance added to them.No matter how I dilute the product, I cannot use it without getting streaks on glass. Using distilled water, working in the shade, etc. makes no difference. Considering the price, Ultima Waterless Wash is still my favorite, and the one I'll continue buying.

Product works very easily and well. Keeps the exterior plastic and moldings protected also. I've also used it to clean the interior doors, seats, console and dash - works very well and leaves a nice matte finish, protective sheen.
