I purchased it to go under a litter box that had the hole in the top, and my two cats treated the new box like an alien spaceship. They wouldn’t have anything to do with it, but they did pee onto the mat, which responded by putting out a stench that filled the second floor. I scrubbed it off, which only intensified the smell. In desperation I poured bleach onto it, in hindsight a HUGE mistake. My eyes burned and I fled the room for fresh air. When the air cleared I rolled it up and sealed it in a trash bag, sadder but wiser. Whatever rubbery chemicals it’s made of cannot handle cat litter or urine, and if I used it wrong, my apologies, but I would rather deal with spilled litter than that smell!Update- 8/12/19While the item didn’t work out for me, customer service was excellent in staying in touch and issuing a full refund.
