A: They're not very strong and they are very thin. I was very disappointed. Not sure they will work for your project.

Using self-adhesive magnetic bases for D&D 1 inch minis is a perfect solution to the problem of storage and transportation, as the minis wouldn't move when attached to the metal surface (such as oven pan in the plastic crate). Much better and cheaper than use of the dedicated foam cases Also, weight of the base makes the feel of the mini so much more substantial, making it more bottom stable and hard to tip over
