Review: Great design but the fixing nut might give you a hard time - I had originally ordered a similar wall mount of equal value, I sent it back and ordered this one as the 1st one wasn’t any good, this one is simple, very well made, works brilliantly and so easy to fit, the quality is good, even the rawlplugs that I didn’t use are of decent standard that will work on masonry or plasterboard walls. I actually fitted the bracket to my cookerhood above the TV and it’s perfect. The only issue I had was the fixed thread for the M6 nut is painted and made it difficult to tighten, I used a standard M6 nut and worked it on and off to clear the thread with a socket wrench, the spanner supplied will struggle to tighten the washered nut supplied. I'm going to use wall plugs that screw into the plaster.** A: Hi, I used my own screws and made sure I screwed into brick they were about 30mm long and hav not had a problem It does depend on how thick the plaster is, you should really drill into brick Hope this helps **Q: does the bracket really scratch the speaker or the anti vibe plates really work? cheers** A: No it has a clever locking system, the only way I could see that you could scratch the speaker is via miss handling. I haven’t hear any rattles from bracket. However, I use a pair as rear surrounds. I’m pleased with the brackets and I would say they are better that other brackets, I have use in the past for various home theatre builds. **Q: which drill bit size should i use to begin with? cheers** A: Hi There, It really depends on the material your screwing into, If you're using the raw plugs we recommend 8mm, If you're going into wood them 3mm without the raw plugs.
