They for like a glove and hold everything in while giving you a slight lift. I will be purchasing more! I am 5,4 147 lbs and ordered a size large and they fit perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lifts for sure! *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2016* I was misled to believe there was padding from an answer on here but NO there is no added cushion/padding. The short part is a thick tight material to suck you in and it helps hide any fat above the pubic area. It comes up a little above the belly button/natural waist on me and the elastic band is not constricting and doesn't create a muffin top. I am a size 12 jean right now, 186 lbs 5'5" (the kind that could wear a 14 super comfortably but not a size 10 yet). I usually wear a size L in most clothing as well. I ordered a 3x in these since I just returned a 2X in another Salome style 318-1 and it turns out these fit but are not snug so I'm going to buy a size 2X again in this style and see which size lifts better, sucks me in and smooths my thighs out. As far as the butt area that sticks out, the material is like a pair of stretchy thin tights with good support. It absolutely does give lift. I have a large butt that is somewhat round and definitely wide and this pulls it up and makes it more rounded. If the 2x doesn't fit better I will be keeping these for jeans and dresses just because it does lift. I also want to mention that the length of the leg part is like the picture and the bottom lace is not tight so it shouldn't create a crease when you wear jeans. I mean it all depends on the size of your legs but I have very thick legs and it doesn't do this to me. Additionally, the lace has grip underneath so it will not move. Love this because I wouldn't want it riding up under clothing. Oh and in case you are wondering if these come with the opening to use the bathroom, they don't which I like because most times the hole is uncomfortable.
