I've been looking for a book that would not overwhelm him, be age appropriate and engaging. The variety of teaching approaches , excercises, and other tools create an engaging and fun experience for children and adolescents to learn more about the various attributes of individuals on the Autism may live with and excercises to help the reader experience what it might be like to live spectrum;the way they see the world, why they may speak differently, engage in certain behaviors or appear unfriendly. The Author also helps others to understand that people who live with Autism are not all the same. The information and tools in the Autism Acceptance book have helped us create a significantly more calm and peaceful enviornment in our home. The few people who spend a fair amount of visiting in our home, have asked me about 1-2 hours into the visit, "Where are the boys? What is going on? It's so quiet!
