I have a huge 16 inch Asus sitting very stably on the stand. Yes, if you type on the keyboard at this angle, it will bounce a bit - get a blue tooth keyboard!! The stand is really sturdy. One review showed how one arm was solid in the "slot" but the other moved a bit - mine did that out of the box. Very simple, just gentle "twist" the stand when it is open and both feet will sit perfectly in the slots.
