The Grail cycle is not an exemplar of sacramental marriage, for example. This is Christianity painted over an older culture and the chapel is never far from the Faerie. That complicated, dreamlike quality has fascinated people for centuries. Wonderful edition of a classic story of adventure, mystery, enchantment and strange tragic fates.
