Review: Great rug pads! - Wanted to increase the sound deadening of my rugs because the floors in my apartment building are eeky and creaky with every step, and I often hear the neighbors below. I had some cheap anti-slip pads from IKEA that weren’t really doing their job. These are a huge upgrade, not just in that the anti-slip is really good. First off, the sizes I ordered were true to size within an inch or so. I’ve definitely bought a “5 x 3” rug pad, but it ends up being “4.5 x 2.5” leaving you with a lot of overhang, not the case with these. They laid relatively flat after being unfolded and didn’t leave any wrinkles you could see or feel in the rugs. I saw some reviews complain about the smell. Yes, they smell a little “chemically” out of the box. But once set up and with a rug on top, there’s no noticeable smell. I only have the 1/4” version, and the cushion effect is really good, my stiffer rugs feel a lot more comfortable to walk on now. I don’t see any reason to get the thicker versions. Overall, very pleased!
Review: Exactly as advertised. Very happy - I had purchased a 4x6 faux fur rug. It was wonderfully fuzzy, but had absolutely no padding, and the smooth backing was slippery as ice. I tried a different anti slip pad first, but the rug kept slipping off the pad. This pad solves all the problems. It is exactly 4 x 6 feet. It is just shy of a half inch thick. Wanted to increase the sound deadening of my rugs because the floors in my apartment building are eeky and creaky with every step, and I often hear the neighbors below. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for kids to play on & I can vacuum my thin rug!

6 months later and this rug pad has been perfect! We did have to trim the pad down so the edges of our rug were overlapping a few inches over the pad and the rug was flush with the floor. This made the rug look better. The cutting at the factory wasn’t even anyway, so expect to do a little trimming. As for the depth, 3/8 ended up being comfy enough to sit on so that you’re not feeling the hard floor, however I would not describe it as “cushy” or “soft.” It’s still pretty firm. (we have young kids so we spend a lot of time on this rug!) but I also wouldn’t want any larger depth due to the little step it would cause going from the laminate floor to the rug. Lastly - it allows me to vacuum my very thin Amazon rug that was too hard to vacuum without this pad!
