Let's see if the edge holds up and doesn't chip or dull easily, but so far so good! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes, the blades are layered steel aka damascus, i tested them. *by R***G on January 17, 2021* I actually did the test to see if this in fact is damascus, and the blade is, but the handle is not. I sanded down the metal on one side of one blade then polished that side, then put drain cleaner acid on that side for a minute and the damascus pattern came back. They have welded the blade to the handle like many knife makers do. The blades are thin and very very very sharp. There were a few chips in a few blades but they were very small, and not in an area that requires immediate resharpening. Also the fact that there are tiny chips on a few spots is proof these blades have a high hardness and were tempered.
