Vileda Professional 10" Roll-O-Matic Original Stainless Steel Sponge Refill

I've saved my old wooden-handled Roll-O-Matic in the garage for several years in case something showed up that fit, almost throwing it out several times as searches for "Roll-O-Matic mop refill" didn't turn up anything at the time the old sponge wore out. The two metal flanges sticking up on the Vileda refill looked like a fit so I ordered one. It fit the ancient handle so I ordered two more. If I had known I would have ordered the 3-pack. An Amazon search for "Roll-O-Matic" now shows some refills. The sponges on the new Libman mop I replaced the old mop with wore out quickly. Hopefully, these will last longer.

On the package: Vileda Professional TSU 118770 10" Original Galv RollOMatic refill. In the package: One 10" mop refill, blue in color. This is a bulk item so it is not labeled for individual sale. No UPC, country of origin or other printed details on the plastic package and nothing on the item itself. The added Amazon sticker has a printed UPC code of 074642111097.I purchased this trying to find a workable replacement head for my 12" RollOMatic mop (12" heads are near impossible to find). The head will fit onto the 12" mop and will work as long as you don't want to get close to any walls or cabinets. The 14" version works too, I couldn't find anything that was "just right".Package clearly indicates that this is the galvanized and not stainless steel version. Nothing wrong with the item itself but the description is incorrect. An internet search also shows the UPC is associated with the galvanized version.

Getting it on the mop was a pain - had to really push it through the roller, but finally got it on. Same complaint as other poster - it is sponge only and took great effort the first time to get it across floor - rubbery. Would have liked to had a scrubber. Despite this, we can use an old Roll o Matic instead of having to buy a new mop. It wrings out easier than the other brand that we had been using, seems to glide a bit better after using it.

The three stars are for confusing listings, not for the product. There's nothing wrong with this refill, as far as I can tell. It just doesn't fit my Vileda mop. If the listing included a rear view, it would be easy for shoppers to tell immediately whether it would fit. Read the reviews but also do your own checking. The reviews can be confusing. If the mop head slides in from the side between to rollers across the head of your Vileda mop, this refill is NOT for you. According to the seller, Vileda Professional only sells refills that attach with hooks to two vertical rods. The seller was VERY responsive; ask before you buy if you're not sure. I asked after, so I have to send it back.

I was hesitant to buy these, after reading other reviews of similar products that failed immediately. Well, I've only used them once so far, but they fit my old mops, did a great job cleaning my floors, and were cleaned easily. Can't ask for more!

I liked that it fits, and was easy to put on. I was looking for the tan color sponge that is natural. Apparently that is no longer available, but it is more absorbent than this blue sponge. This will get the job done though.

This fit my handle without difficulty. I did have to bend the retaining pieces a little to keep it in place; that was straightforward. It is a good sponge mop.
