In fact, I can hardly taste the difference between the with/without versions of the smoothie. I have tried half a dozen powders and hated all of them because they were too "earthy" for me. Unlike other powders, it is sweet rather than earthy.It is also good in any smoothie with banana (which I don't prefer, since banana overwhelms almost anything you put it in.) I also tried it directly with water and with different juices, and I don't recommend taking it that way. It is too sweet in juices and too powdery/gritty in water.
