Review: Best Osuimono soup outside of Japan! - We LOVE this soup! It is as good as any Japanese restaurant. We add to it whatever we want and thicken it up a bit with extra mushrooms, a little miso, scallions, fried onions, (the kind that is dried and in a French's container). Great stuff. Add soy sauce and it is the best. I'll teach outdoors all day and make a bunch of it in a huge thermos, and it keeps me going!

We LOVE this soup! It is as good as any Japanese restaurant. We add to it whatever we want and thicken it up a bit with extra mushrooms, a little miso, scallions, fried onions, (the kind that is dried and in a French's container). Great stuff. I was hoping this would be an at-home go-to of the clear onion soup you get at hibachi restaurants. It’s kiiiiind of similar. Has a little bit of a fishy taste? But it’s not bad! Just different than what I was expecting. And pretty expensive at $6 for only 3 packets.
