A: Yes!  It's actually long for my 7-year old, but like I said I didnt want to pay a lot. There's an extender on it to make it longer or shorter.

**Q: Could you switch out the chain for a stronger one?**
A: Yes, you probably can switch the chain for a stronger one though the latch that holds it will probably have to be pried open with a pair of pliers!
