The only drawback would be if you need a large amount of water at one time but this is not the case with me. I haven't use the infuser yet as I use tea bags and the top doesn't fit as snug without the diffuser but that's not a problem when simply boiling water. They also have great customer service. It holds just over two standard mugs of tea and can be left on the stove at low heat to keep your second cup of tea hot. The infuser's holes are so small that no tea leaves or particles fall through into your tea. The pot seems rather delicate, but so far it has been sturdy enough. The one potential problem is that the lid simply rests loosely on top of the pot and you must hold the lid while you pour your tea. Otherwise it will fall off and would undoubtedly break. Cleaning the pot and infuser is easy.
