No surprise but our cat does NOT like ants in his food! In the past I'd made do by putting the dish inside a bigger dish and adding water to create a 'moat'. And that worked, unless the cat bumped the dish so it touched the edge... then the ants got in. I got tired of the moat float, so I had a look online for solutions and found this wonderful, simple invention. We've been using it for a couple months now and I've not seen a single ant in the dish. The cat is happy and it's way less of a hassle than the moat.
