## Description

Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system. In that "accumulation time", the system will unnecessarily continue to water. This can look especially bad for conservation-conscious municipalities, businesses and residences.

Review: Sensor easy to install and a great value - Replaced a wireless sensor (sealed battery dead) with this on a Hunter X-Core. Easy to install and works just fine. I did find out that you cannot test the sensor in manual one zone mode. You must test in Manual ALL or Automatic mode. Just a little confusing as the instructions just say to turn on one zone of the system you can see and press the button, and they should turn off. This makes it sound like manual one zone would work, and it does not as this mode bypasses the sensor.
Review: Not that hard to install. - I have had two wireless rain sensors fail because you can not replace the battery. So I bought this on. A lot cheaper and once I got the wire run it works great and there should not ever be a reason to replace it. I hope. I did not hang from the gutter. I put a post in the ground and mounted the sensor on that. It’s five feet from the house and four feet off the ground, so no ladder needed.

**Q: What is the difference between this and mini-click model?**
A: This model has an instant shut off when it starts raining - the mini clik will only go off when the pre-set level has been achieved

**Q: Will the rain-clik be compatable with my rainbird controller?**
A: Yes - if the controller doesn't have a rain sensor port, you can wire the Rain Clik to the common valve wire.  It will work just fine.

**Q: can I just buy the sensor, I don't need the mounting hardware?**
A: I guess you can, if you can find someplace that sells it in pieces...

**Q: Do these sensors still use the old technology of cork type floats to shut of sensor?**
A: The one I installed 2 years ago has a series of disks , 4-5 stacked vertically , may be made of cork don't know but the sensor works great.

I have had two wireless rain sensors fail because you can not replace the battery. So I bought this on. Opens circuit when it rains so sprinkler won't operate for a couple days while the internal absorbent disks dry and shrink - thus closing switch again so normal watering continues. Bracket easily mounted on bottom of rafter end to extend out past bottom of rain gutter, so I didn't have to mount on gutter. I ran wire between small gap in roof deck at rafter junction. Or a small hole can be drilled if controller is inside garage like mine.
