Our ultimate mission is to bring healthy, flavour-packed cooking to your family’s kitchen table. The Lava's 10,000 square feet factory is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility developed solely for iron casting and enamelling. We use the most modern machinery to ensure the highest standards of quality and finishing. They come with less oil when you use a cast iron frying pan: Ageing and cleaning the lava cookware. The beautiful shine on cast iron cookware is the sign of a well-aged pan that makes it virtually non-stick. The bonus for your health is, of course, that you do not have to use excess oil if you are browning crispy potatoes in cast iron dishes or searing chicken meat. To age your cast iron pan, cover the bottom of the pan with a thick layer of kosher salt and half an inch of cooking oil, then heat until the oil starts to smoke. Carefully pour the salt and oil into a bowl, then use a ball of paper towels to rub the inside of the pan until it is smooth. To clean cast iron, there is no need to use soap - just scrub your pan with a hard brush and hot water and dry it completely. Cast iron is a chemical-free alternative to non-stick pans. So, one of the main advantages of using cast iron cookware instead of non-stick pans is that you can avoid the harmful chemicals that are commonly found in non-stick pans. Easy to clean. Thanks to the High Enamel Coating technology which is only applied by several companies around the world, you can wash Lava cast iron pots and pans in the dishwasher and they are practically and the clean-up gets absolutely simple. Environmentally friendly cast iron is 100% recyclable. It also promotes energy saving as it preserves heat for a long period of time. Maintain your lava cookware. Always let your Lava cookware cool completely before cleaning or adding hot soap water. Wash and dry thoroughly. Be careful and don not add cold water to a hot cast iron pot as thermal shock could occur and this would damage the enamel. Our lava cookware is dishwasher safe, although some detergents may over time dull the glossy finish, so you should read the warning label on your detergent. ## Features - Lava 28 cm cast iron cookware is the ideal product for preparing meals for 4-6 people. - Thanks to its small size, it can be easily washed in the dishwasher and by hand. - Material: 3-layer enamel coating, 2 fixing, thickness: Base = 5mm.
