Size 11 is a perfect fit but I also like to wear socks. You may need a smaller size for bare feet. These are very comfortabke. No breaking required as they are elastic across the top. The soles are flexible and the insole is removable. As described not recommended for sport activities. I love them and recommend them. These came up in my searching and out of curiosity I ordered a pair. They looked weird and I wasn't sure what to expect. I tend to read reviews before buying and these had good reviews. Friends, I had no idea something could be so comfortable! I typically wear an 8.5 or a 9 (womens), depending on the shoe. So I ordered the 8.5 and it is a bit big but they are still very comfortable and serviceable. Actually, they were so comfortable I ordered 2 more pair (in a size down (7.5)- and they fit perfectly) in the Navy and the Black, thinking maybe I can get away with wearing them to work. The top is like a sturdy sock so you won't get much ankle support but that's not what I was after. I like wearing socks but these can go either way.
