Review: This product works very well for me - I now have 2 pairs of these and have recently ordered 2 more pairs (on the way). Obviously, I like this product a lot. But I am not using it the way many people are -- for plantar fasciitis. I am using it for degenerative osteoarthritis. I have a pretty bad case of it and it very much affects my feet. I walk a lot, usually 3 or 4 miles every day, and so my feet take a beating, even with good shoes and cushioned socks, and with soaking them. I have the customary swelling -- more aptly known as "thickening" -- in my feet that comes from this kind of arthritis, along with constantly aching feet at night. I wanted some kind of compression sock or sleeve to use at night. I like to sit and read, and I usually elevate my feet -- and I thought compression would help. These sleeves are perfect for me. I think it is vital to measure correctly. These DO NOT go by shoe size, and they DO NOT go by the circumference of your ankle. They are sized by the circumference of your ARCH; that's where you measure, from the bottom of your foot and arch up around the top part of your foot. The size chart on the box reads this way: S = 5 to 8 inches circumference; M = 7 to 10 inches circumference; L = 9 to 13 inches, and XL = 11 to 15 inches circumference. My circumference is 10.5 inches so I bought a large and they fit perfectly -- a little snug but not too tight at all. Quite comfortable after the first 30 minutes or so. Right now, I am using these at night for maybe 2 to 4 hours, and so far, they have really reduced the pain on the tops of my feet and the swelling there. For the first time in many months, I can actually get up and move around the house at night very comfortably and normally, and not feel that my feet hurt me with every step. I can get around generally fine during the day, but I used to dread the evening when I became less mobile. Now, I slip on my FS6 sleeves at home every night and feel about 90% better than I used to. These sleeves have just the perfect amount of compression for me (I would call it light since the material is 24% spandex and 76% micro-nylon), and they have improved the quality of my life a lot. I won't be without at least 2 pairs from now on.
Review: Feels like a miracle! - I have been dealing with Plantar Fasciitis for about a year now. I am a tour leader, and thus am on my feet for hours, walking miles per day some days. The pain had gotten worse, but I was determined to make it better, so I began the task of researching all my options via the Internet. I looked at stretches, insoles, boots, and advice for staying off the foot (not an option for me). I did have a period of 6 weeks off from work recently that I intended to use to fix this problem to the extent possible, not intending to get much further than a reduction in pain. Most reputable sites (Mayo Clinic, NIH, etc.) tell the reader to expect a 10-12 month recovery period at the minimum. I started doing stretches. I bought a boot to wear at night (that thing, purchased from a major chain pharmacy, was fairly worthless, bulky and annoying to sleep with). I bought a pair of insoles to put into my walking/hiking shoes but I'm not sure how much they really helped since the shoes already had very good support. I tried to avoid walking long distances (more than around the house and into stores), especially without supportive shoes on my feet, and let me tell you, that's easier said than done. While I did notice an improvement in early morning discomfort, none of my efforts really felt like they would have benefited me in the long run when I returned to my work, being on my feet all day long. Finally I decided to give this little foot sleeve a try about 2 weeks prior to my return to work. I wish I had bought them sooner! Somehow the compression on this sleeve seems to not only support my arch when walking and putting pressure on the foot, but also to, for lack of a better way to put it, hold everything in place for proper healing when worn at rest (i.e. while sleeping). I wear it when hiking up to 6 miles per day plus general walking around time, take a break from it (since it is a compression device and the foot needs a chance to rest from it), and put it on to wear at night. Occasionally, I wake up in the night feeling a little rubbing sensation around my ankle or near my toes, but I'm able to take it off for immediate relief and go back to sleep. The instructions say to wear it no more than 8 hours straight, then remove for at least 1 hour before putting it back on. Since I have this issue in only one foot, I am able to alternate days with the pair, which hopefully gives the compression elastics a chance to recover. I hand-wash the sleeves and expect to replace them in 6 months or so, if still needed, based on the manufacturer's recommendation. Overall, I am beyond extraordinarily happy with this product. What I anticipated being a lengthy and possibly futile (given my profession) recovery period has turned out to be a short breeze. I have gone the last two days without wearing the sleeve because I forgot! That's how much better my foot feels. I'll make a point to wear it at night from now on until there is absolutely no hint/twinge of pain when walking in my less supportive, but cute, sandals, and always when working and walking long distances. I can't say enough about how well this is working for me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ OrthoSleeve + orthotics = pain gone!
*by M***. on January 1, 2015*

This foot sleeve works wonders! I bought it to help alleviate some foot pain I was feeling after doing much walking during a trip. Before ordering, I made sure to order according to arch size, as recommended by others, and not by foot size. The sleeve fits like a comfortably tight hug but it's a compression sock so as long as my foot's not turning purple or blue, it's all good! After 15 minutes of wear, I noticed that my pain was not as severe, though still present. The sock has a slight chemical smell that goes away with a good initial hand wash. Since the pain was only in one foot, I keep the other one in the box until the first one gets worn out. For the first day, I wore the sleeve for two hours and then wore it at night for about four days, then for two weeks about four hours on, two hours off, and continued to wear it at night. If I ever had to go anywhere, I wore the sleeve with the Pedag Holiday 3/4 Leather Semi-Rigid Orthotic . On the third week, I stopped wearing the OrthoSleeve because my pain pretty much went away and it only felt tight on my foot. Now, I still wear the Pedag orthotics to help support my arches. Amazingly, this combo worked out and I never went to see a doctor (even though I should have, just in case). I'm not sure if I had a case of plantar fasciitis and/or fallen arches but orthotics + OrthoSleeve = pain gone! I really have to emphasize to others reading this that I did my research and made sure to measure my arches in order to get the proper compression sock and orthotics. There's also the arch test (google it) where you dip your foot in water and step on a paper towel. If the arch area is: mostly wet = low/fallen arches (tendency to pronate/walking angled inwards), somewhat wet = medium/average arch, mostly dry = high arch (tendency to supinate/walking angled outwards).
