For me, I saw right away I need to take it with food because the oil goes directly to my stomach without the delay the capsules provide. I can tell I've taken it, but so far I've had no real negative reaction and will continue to tweak exactly when to take it. I have not calculated a price comparison, but this liquid says it's only 24 servings (1 tsp daily) and I know the capsules have to be less expensive, but I haven't bothered yet as it's so nice not to work at choking on the capsule!
