## Description

Review: Best - Best, never thought it would be this good.
Review: It is good but too shiny! - It works, it holds the books and that is okay but I wish that they had used a different finish to the plastic as it can reflect the light back to the scanner.

## Features

- This high-quality book cradle is an indispensable aid for anyone who needs to scan books, magazines and other bound documents. Now users of the overhead scanner can also benefit from the advantages of a book cradle. The book cradle is used with a book scanner or document camera and allows scanning without loss of quality, quickly and conveniently. A book cradle is no longer only equipment for professional book scanners in the library.
- The book cradle protects the binding of books and book pages when scanning, because the books do not have to be fully opened. Even valuable and old books in company archives and libraries will not be damaged. The pages do not need to be pulled apart. This is important when many pages need to be scanned in a short time.
- The selected angle ensures that the books are optimally positioned and the page to be scanned is not able to be changed. Unlike scanning without a book cradle, the pages will not look wavy. Open books are better captured by the scanner because the light from the scanner lamps spreads evenly across the pages of the book. Since the light does not fall on the page at an angle of 90°, there are reduced mirror effects on glossy pages such as magazines.
- The black surface is perfect as a contrast template. The book scanner software can thus automatically deliver optimal results when cropping the scanned pages. The book cradle offers perfect conditions for templates with an up to A3 sized scanning area - so practically all commercially available scanners can be upgraded. The book cradle is made of high quality black acrylic and visually will fit perfectly with monitors, keyboards and scanners. It can easily be cleaned with a soft cloth.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best

Best, never thought it would be this good.

### ⭐⭐⭐ It is good but too shiny!
*by M***M on 1 January 2026*

It works, it holds the books and that is okay but I wish that they had used a different finish to the plastic as it can reflect the light back to the scanner.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Book Scanning Made Easier
*by S***S on 24 June 2023*

I have used an over head scanner for sometime for flat documents. Copying a book is much harder due to the natural tendency for a book to not remain flat. When I found this on Amazon I realised how useful it would become. This is only a folded piece of acrylic but it holds most books open at an angle that inhibits the pages folding back mid scan. Very pleased to finally be able scan pages of books with much more ease than previously.
