Lots of people asked where I'd gotten it and complimented me on the look of it and how smart I was to wear it. It does cut back on some of the odors around you, but it's not going to completely protect you from perfumes, if that's why you're wanting one.I didn't get sick, though plenty of people around me were coughing. One woman in the row behind me coughed in my face and the man with her coughed all over my back. Still, nothing. The year before, I didn't wear one and ended up extremely sick afterwards. I'm not saying this thing is guaranteed to prevent illness, but I got through several days, with thousands of people, and I'm fine. The only downside is it gets hot and people can't hear you (when there's too much ambient noise) so you have to yell. My throat hurt from yelling for about a day. This product does not seal and conform to the face, nose or chin properly. Air escapes easily. You can feel the air hitting your eyes and/or fogging up your glasses. This means that a person will get exposed to all of the elements; bacteria, virus, pollen that a person with a suppressed immune system shouldn't be exposed to, under any circumstances. A surgical mask works much better and is more safe.
