I also own a Blade 3 vacuum cleaner. The 3mh battery that is supplied with this product won’t last long and buying an extra battery is a must. This battery will charge in around 3 hours and last a lot longer than the one supplied. I personally think that Vax should have provided this product with the 4mh battery from the outset. The good news is that the ‘One-power’ battery will also power any ‘One-power’ product and there are a few of these on the market. **Q: Is the vax onepwr battery exactly the same as the hoover onepwr battery** A: The VAX and Hoover brands are both owned by the same Company, Techtronic Industries Company Limited in Hong Kong. As they've chosen to use the same name for these batteries (onepwr), I assume they are identical. **Q: Is this compatible with vax blade 2 which has a fixed battery, ie it charges in the machine. vbb2asv1. my battery isn’t lasting as long as it used to** A: The replacement battery I purchased charges separately from the cleaner using its own charger. I suspect it is a different battery. Have a look on vax website and it should give you information about the type of battery you need. Rechargeable batteries do slowly loose their storage capacity over time. **Q: I have a flashing red light when charging the battery, anyone else experienced this and know how to fix?** A: I believe it's a faulty battery, if it is still under warranty contact vax they will send you a replacement.
