X 7 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21q-RyM5bqL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: do you sell a smaller stay wet palette?** A: The existing size is fairly small, not sure you would want a smaller one. **Q: What is difference between this and polymer/synthetic paper?** A: This paper is porous which allows the sponge below it to keep paints moist so they do not dry out, and when I say it keeps them moist I mean in PERFECT condition. It is intended to be used with the Stay Wet pallet which closes up very tightly. Once I forgot I had paints inside and they were in there for about a year. I had to throw them away and use a new sponge (refills came with the pallet) but the paints were in perfect condition - except the mildew smell. The pallet cleaned up perfectly - only had a little mildew on the sponge. Be careful ordering refill paper and make sure you get the correct size. I have the larger pallet but accidentally ordered the smaller paper because I didn’t know they made any other size. I will keep this paper however because it will still work nicely - I’ll just need two of them at a time. **Q: can use without the matching palette?** A: This is a pad of acrylic paper to be used in a wet palette. Using the the palette keeps the paper wet which prevents the acrylic paint from drying out. **Q: Can you buy the wet sponge for the pallete?** A: Bought a plastic box where the paper would fit in. But a bunch of sponges on bottom, topped with wet dishtowel, followed directions on paper, and voila, my paints lasted wet two weeks if necessary. When finished for the day, I closed box, and put in refrigerator till ready to paint again. As I have never used a wet palette from another supplier? I cannot say that my sta wet palette is superior to others. However; I am more than satisfied with the results which are so far Superb. The Masterson product has met my expectations. I have heard other painters say that the paper supplied is inferior and should be replaced with partridge paper. But it’s a small thing; so far the paper supplied works just fine with my acrylic paints. Overall I think this is an awesome product.
