This mug comes apart completely to clean. The two plastic rings come off, the inside of the lid comes off. The easiest travel mug to clean ever. It keeps my coffee nice and hot for hours with no need to temper the mug first, even though that might help. Leak proof *as long as you remember to put it all back together* twice I’ve grabbed my mug and not make sure it was reassembled correctly and ended up with hot coffee all over me. I check it now and don’t assume. Great product - only complaint is - I wish it was larger.
