Very small footprint overall and makes it easier to drag up those reef donkeys that just want to fight the whole 200 ft up to the boat. I also use for surf fishing when paired with a surf rod. The power is amazing. The look and feel of the reel is just amazing. Garcia is top of the line, and this reel hits all the marks outside of deep sea fishing. I look forward to years with this reel. They can be used for Striper, catfish, snapper, or any larger or more powerful fish. These will also work for bass if you are fishing large trout swimbaits. I have the S, Rocket, and Beast.
