This isn't a $250 dollar stand. Be sure when all limbs are trimmed before you raise the stand to keep from bending the ladder. Also, be sure to follow the directions and use three people when putting up. You pretty much get what you pay for, and that was fine for me. This is a decent stand for the money. Plenty of height and very comfortable. You do need two men to raise as with most ladder stands. Throw away the paper instructions and just use the front photo on the box to assemble. I purchased and assembled two of these stands without any major difficulty. The metal is extremely soft. When trying to erect the stand the top was very heavy and bent a ladder section. I was able to erect the stand with another person, an additional ladder and a rope ratchet system. Once it was erected it was very roomy and comfortable.
