Review: Pleasantly surprised - I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to let everyone know how much I love this piece. When I took the lion out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised. I think it is absolutely stunning. The detailing of the lions face is amazing, and the way the mane looks like it’s blowing in the wind is a work of art. It’s made of plastic, and I guess that’s what I paid for. If it was made out of another material it probably would have cost a lot more. I absolutely love looking at this lion, so I’m going to keep it.

**Q: I want to put a brass plaque on it as a memento.  What size would I order?**
A: If you're looking at the sides or back of the base, the flat surface is about 4 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches high. The front is blocked by the paw. My measurements may be a hair too large, so take that into consideration too.

**Q: What is the footprint of the base? I’m looking for something 6.5” approximately**
A: No, its more like a 5" x 5".  I bought it as a gift and so I don't have the piece available.  You will not be disappointed if you buy it.

**Q: Could I put this outside?**
A: I wouldn't recommend it

**Q: I see comments that it's light in weight. Is there a way to fill the base with sand? Perhaps a hole that could be filled & capped?**

The item is made with resin therefore it is not light. It is very sturdy and does not require anything to prop it up.

The item is well crafted as mentioned and is gorgeous.
