Bought as a gift for my grandson because he was sharing a surge protector with his parents, and often had to go looking around the house to see who was using the one they shared. He would become frustrated when he couldn't find it to use for his laptop and Kindle. The multi port selections make it ideal for use for many different electronics to be charged while supplying surge protection, also great capacity for numerous items. Just be careful of the edges on the corners of the shelves. They are sharp! I have it on the wall near the doorway of my bathroom doorway. I scratched my elbow good on it and it left a scab. Maybe place it in a low traffic area to avoid this. It holds my toothbrush charger, phone and blue tooth speaker with no issues. I can only use the outside edges on either sides of the bottom shelf because I don't want to block the front outlets and there isn't much room there due to it being right below the outlet.
