These were just what I needed. I like to make iced cafe mochas, teas, and other cold drinks at home. The jars, lids and straws are easy to clean if you have the right tools. I recommend cleaning the lids and straws by hand after each use and the jars in the dish washer. If you are looking to make iced beverages at home, for yourself and guests, these are a great way to do that. They are not great for traveling, as they are not fully leak proof (due to the hole for the straw), not insulated (and will condensate moisture when cold), and too big for most cup holders. They are not meant to be carried or packed when in use, and may not be comfortable for small hands to carry and hold for more than just frequent sips. They do sit well and study at the desk or on a counter (but may condensate moisture and require a coaster). I would not recommend them for children as they are glass and can easily be knocked over or dropped if not careful.
