They are nice and low profile but have that sort of “bump” on the tongue that all the skating shoes have. The bottom of my Lakais actually feel like a cushion between me and the ground. I normally prefer my leather boots or loafers because I like a slightly dressier casual look, but I have been wearing these so much that they are already showing quite a bit of dirt after only 10 days! lol. I am a Men’s Brannock 7 and the sizing was right on the money. In boots I am usually a size 6 or 6.5 in men’s so I would definitely get your Brannock sizing. I typically wear EU 39 or Women’s size 8 as well. I got these because they were $50 and I hadn’t tried them before. But after this experience I would not hesitate to pay full price for any model. The fit was on the verge of great ,only change I would of made would of been to make the shoe a smidge deeper other than that it fits great and is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
