## Overview

The Pull-PAL Winch Anchor 6000 is a U.S.-made, heavy-duty recovery tool designed for ATVs, UTVs, and small 4x4s up to 3,000 lbs GVW. Featuring a 17x5 inch spade and compact 32-inch folded length, it offers quick assembly and reliable anchoring in sand, mud, snow, and hardpan soil. The included cushioned Cordura nylon carrying case protects both the tool and user, doubling as a work mat. Engineered for durability and portability, Pull-PAL enhances winching control and safety in challenging off-road conditions.

## Description

The Pull-Pal carrying case is the newest alternative to storing & carrying your Pull-Pal. The heavy-duty cordura nylon body surrounds high-density closed cell foam. A reinforced back panel strengthens the case and prevents it from collapsing. There are two cinch straps that secure the Pull Pal in place and a padded panel that separates the spade from the shaft. The case can also be used as a mat protecting you and your tools from cold or muddy ground while working under your vehicle. The Pull-Pal - a U.S. engineered anchoring tool, is both portable and well-suited for a wide range of environments. Intended as a tool for winching through sand and mud, Pull-Pal's design relies on useful rules of physics. Its hefty plow blade sets firmly and safely into sand, clay, mud hardpan soil and snow. Pull-Pal gets you up and over hill stalls and minimizes dangerous situations. It allows you more control -- even when you are alone. Saves time, transmissions, and tires. Pull-Pal is designed for winch-equipped Jeeps, buggies, campers, 2-wheel drive, 4WD SUVs, Trucks, and Hummers. Ideal for construction surveyors, search and rescue, utility, police, and rural maintenance vehicles.

Review: Engineering Marvel that is an heirloom tool - This thing in an engineering marvel. I used 11000 model in conjunction with tow straps to move a 20' 4700lb container approx 8 feet sideways and 25 feet back. This is not a prescribed use case and I watched several youtube videos including one where the owner/inventor said that it's not designed to handle dead weight (so exactly what I was doing). I took a risk anyways as the only other solution was to pay $800 for the one guy in my area of WA who has a custom device to wiggle containers into strange spots or to try to do an axle w/wheels (more expensive, pain to store, and I'd never need them again, plus one of my corners on my container is bent so the wheel would have been at a weird angle). I figured if I could get the pull pal to do the job it would save me a few hundred bucks while paying for itself in full on the first job. It did and it was awesome and I can't recommend it more. Moving it sideways was no issue (I had good solid earth), but backwards was difficult since I kept hitting rocks 6-12 inches down (I live on a hill that is just boulders and rock below). I finally found a spot that went deeper but the pull pal with the come along winch kept plowing the land and not pulling the container. I was about to give up after hours of failing but wanted to give it one last go so I dug out the hole a little wider so the spade could hit a slightly different angle in the ground and then pushed all the dirt back on the pull pal burying it, and I think it was that last part that made it work, as just that little extra weight holding it place got it to bite; I didn't see that in any video I watched online, but wanted to mention it for anyone struggling. It was a lot of physical work to get it moved, but totally worth it and now I have this amazing device that I'm sure will save the day in the future for someone (hopefully in its prescribed use case). It's so beefy it still looks brand new and is definitely an heirloom quality tool that could be passed down for a few generations. Do yourself a favor and buy this one, not some cheap rip off that you will be regretting when you're struggling while stuck; the owner/inventor is just an old school guy and deserves getting paid. BILLET4X4 shipped it the next day via ups ground and they're out of Colorado if you're trying to estimate delivery time.
Review: Works Great - Great product tried it several times in the Mojave last weekend, works great!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good winch anchor
*by J***N on September 19, 2016*

1. If you look at online tests, the PullPal does very well. 2. The PullPal comes in different models so difficult to compare, but appears cost-effective to competitors. 3. Build quality is good. Packaging is good. 4. Company responds quickly to email. 5. There is a small loop on one arm to tie a rope to in case the spade gets stuck. I'd vote for a slightly bigger loop so a small shackle could fit. 6. The spade (like any shovel) is going to get worn. I'd vote for a 'plus' model or upgrade to a stainless spade (if feasible). 7. Instructions are a tad slim, but I'm not an experienced user. Finding a nice sharp photo of the anchor on the web helped to do the assembly.
