The straps were manufactured so the ratchet is on one side of the load instead of the middle. If you are trying to attach the strap in the bed of a truck it is virtually impossible to move the ratchet to tighten the strap. Also, the ratchet only intermittently locks so we kept getting slack after the load was secured. We also have frayed straps as noted by other customers. Multiple straps frayed and began to separate after 1 use. The straps were not wedged, bound, or touching any surfaces. Not worth trusting to keep your valuables strapped down. Have to pull a couple feet out to get it to tighten again. Had them for 2 weeks and already see corrosion.
