It is made of cardboard and might be hard to clean food spills. **Q: Will this survive rain? I want to use it in my yard** A: I am not sure of the actual survivability. We had purchased to use in the yard to be "carried" by skeletons. Once it arrived it was immediately clear that what I received was a coffin that was a purple color and NOT black as in the description.
