Can you please help with instructions regarding first use and after use maintainence** A: HOW TO USE YOUR EARTHENWARE Before You start Cooking These pots are pre-seasoned using corn starch solution. By soaking the pot in corn starch solution and dried before packing. Soak the pot for overnight in a bucket of water (completely submerged) This will loosen the starch coating; Seasoning starch may appear slippery on surface. So, Handle with care. Wash the pot thoroughly to remove excess starch stuck outside and wood ash stuck to the pot during deep burning process. Boil some water in the Utensil continuously for about 15 Minutes. Wipe it and start cooking. When you cook Always Start cooking with low flame. Make sure you increase flame gradually; Sudden rise of the temperature make lead to its cracking due to thermal shock. Never add cold water into a hot earthen utensil. Thermal shock: refers to the process that the pot experiences suddenly changed thermal stresses and strains, Thermal shock produces cracks as a result of rapid temperature change. Wet the pot inside & out before keeping on stove. To remove food items stuck to earthenware, simply soak it in water without detergent and scrub with a soft scrubber. We suggest not to use any hard soap or detergent to clean the pot.
