I used coffee percolators before but they never surpass the quality of the Cafetière. I like the additional three stainless steel filters that come with it so they will last a long time if looked after. I chose the two mug size but larger or smaller ones are the purchaser’s preference. I like the spout closure which will keep the coffee from cooling down too quickly but beware this is not air tight so if you are thinking of going on a hike it would be well advised to transfer the drink to a sealed flask. But this is for home. The main body (which is well insulated) including filters and attachments are dishwasher safe. The quality of this cafetière is excellent value and you get what you pay for, I’m sure their are higher priced cafetières out their but this one is all I ask for. Highly recommended. Super quality metal construction, ideal for a large single cup of coffee and the seal between lid plunger and body of press is nice and tight with 3 additional spare filters , works really well , feels very robust so will last forever and delivers great coffee.
