It has 2 vertical ports without stems inside of the ports.** A: They advise to cut the stems - then it is just the tubes and works for the pump in style **Q: Do they have to be washed before using?** A: I wash everything before using anything. You just never know what happenes before it reaches you. Just my personal preference. I ran hot soapy water, let it sit, jiggled it around, than I rinsed with hot water and let air dry. (They don't seem like original Medela parts.)** A: No. They are made by Maymom and compatible with Medela pumps. **Q: What is the tube length?** A: I believe it was very similar in length to the original tubing that Medela provided.
